ITINERARY:
Start your day with a visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi. Located on a small island near the southeastern shore of West Lake, this 1,400-year-old pagoda is a serene retreat from the bustling city. Admire the historic architecture, including the eleven-story red pagoda, and enjoy the peaceful gardens surrounding the temple.
Next, we'll visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you'll learn about the life and legacy of Vietnam's revolutionary leader. Observe the grand Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside and take a stroll through the serene gardens to see the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh's Stilt House. Don't miss the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, built to resemble a lotus blossom.
Special Note : we will visit Women Museum instead of Ethnology Museum closed on Mondays
Important notes:
- Visitors should dress modestly, covering shoulders to knees, when visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, and pagodas.
- Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays.
- The Mausoleum is closed for at least 2 months annually (usually from June 15th to August 15th) for maintenance. During this period, visitors can still take pictures of the Mausoleum from the outside and visit the surrounding area.
- Photography is restricted in certain areas of the complex.
Visit Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in the whole country of Vietnam
Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes at a local restaurant. This is a perfect opportunity to taste the flavors of Hanoi and recharge for the afternoon's activities.
In the afternoon, we'll drive to Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, established in the 11 century
Leave for Hoa Lo Prison Museum which originally used by the French colonists in Indochina for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. During this later period, it was known to American POWs as the "Hanoi Hilton”
16:00 – 16:30: Tour finishes. Back to hotel
